Elessent Clean Technologies Purchase

In a landmark transaction finalized on December 31, 2021, a consortium comprising Dussur, US-based private equity firm BroadPeak Global LP, and Asia Green Fund acquired 100% of DuPont's Clean Technologies business for $527 million. This acquisition, which marked Dussur's first major international possession in the specialty chemicals field, resulted in the formation of a new, independent company named Elessent Clean Technologies (ECT). ECT is a global leader in essential process technologies that are critical for sustainability and efficiency in the chemical, fertilizer, metals, and oil refining industries. The company retains exclusive rights to the world-renowned technologies it inherited from DuPont, including: MECS®: For sulfuric acid production and environmental technologies. STRATCO®: For alkylation processes in refining. BELCO®: For wet scrubbing and emissions control. IsoTherming®: For hydroprocessing applications.
