Tuwaiq Casting & Forging
The Tuwaiq Casting & Forging plant is a critical project aimed at building sovereign capabilities in heavy manufacturing and enhancing the resilience of the Kingdom's industrial supply chain. Founded in 2020 and located in the Ras Al-Khair Industrial City, the facility is a direct outcome of a strategic joint venture between some of the most powerful industrial players in Saudi Arabia and a leading international technology partner.
The partnership structure is a clear example of demand-driven industrial policy:
- **Saudi Aramco**: The national oil company and a massive end-user of heavy industrial cast and forged products for its upstream and downstream operations.
- **Dussur**: The Saudi Arabian Industrial Investments Company, representing the state's strategic interest in localizing industrial value chains.
- **Doosan Enerbility (formerly Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction)**: A South Korean global leader in casting and forging technology, providing the essential technical expertise for the venture.
The project represents a total investment exceeding SAR 3.5 billion, with a construction value of over SAR 1 billion for the facility itself, which was delivered under a Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) contract by Alfanar Projects.
