InoChem (Khair Inorganic Chemical Industries)

While much of Saudi Arabia's industrial focus has been on leveraging its hydrocarbon resources for petrochemical production, the establishment of Khair Inorganic Chemical Industries Co. (InoChem) marks a significant and strategic diversification into the inorganic chemicals sector. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Dammam, InoChem operates a massive greenfield industrial complex spanning 800,000 square meters in the Ras Al-Khair industrial hub. The company was established to address a critical gap in the regional supply chain and has rapidly become a dominant force in its target markets. InoChem's production portfolio is focused on two essential inorganic products: Soda Ash: With an annual production capacity of 300,000 metric tons, InoChem is the first manufacturer of soda ash in the entire Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the largest in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Calcium Chloride: The facility boasts an annual capacity of 348,000 metric tons of calcium chloride, making InoChem the single largest manufacturer of this product in the world. The company produces these chemicals in various grades, densities, and shapes, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies to serve a wide range of industries. The strategic importance of this venture is underscored by the participation of Sahara International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem), which holds a 30% equity stake in InoChem, linking the new venture to one of the Kingdom's most established chemical producers.
